What is your role at Adido?
My role at Adido is Marketing Apprentice; within the SEO team.
What does a typical day involve?
As a member of the SEO team, a typical day for me consists of planning/writing content for clients and optimising their websites.
What do you enjoy most about working at Adido?
I love the opportunities to be creative when writing for clients, and the team are all really friendly and great to work with.
Where were you born? What brought you to Adido?
I was born here in Bournemouth. I originally studied Ancient History at Reading University, but decided to pursue a career in digital marketing instead, which led to my apprenticeship here.
What’s your favourite thing about Bournemouth?
The football team; AFC Bournemouth. I’ve had a season ticket for many years now and it’s great to see your local team in the Premier League.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I flip-flopped between wanting to be an author or a journalist. Or a footballer!
Where in the world would you most like to visit and why?
I love Ancient History, so somewhere like Pompeii would be a great place to visit.
What is your #1 most played song on iTunes?
Wesley’s Theory by Kendrick Lamar
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Any variation of chicken, which is basically all I eat anyway!
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I’d love to learn an instrument, something like bass would be cool.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
Definitely time travel. So many possibilities, my favourite would be to do a Back to the Future II and get rich!
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
Probably leaving Uni to pursue a career in Digital Marketing; it had always been my plan to go to Uni, so it was quite a scary step to drop out and do something completely different.
What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
I’d have to go with leaving Uni again! The whole process taught me to trust myself, especially if things in life aren’t going quite the way I want them to, and it gave me the confidence to take responsibility for my future.
When was the last time you were nervous?
The morning before my job interview here. Luckily, it went pretty well!
What are you afraid of?
Spiders and heights.
How many emails are sitting in your inbox?
Who knows; I’d have to go in and check!
At the weekend I love…
Watching AFC Bournemouth; the undisputed best team on the south coast.
What is your favourite film?
Either Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz
