What does a typical day involve?
Generally it would involve coming up with ideas, (refill water bottle and mid morning vape) making them come alive visually (well deserved lunch break at the local public establishment mingling with friends), having a dose of desk banter interspersed with debates (occasionally heated) with the rest of the team (refill of water and mid afternoon vape) client meetings and discussions and deadlines to be met…. (well deserved evening vino to discuss the excitement / stress of the day) Then repeat……
Where were you born? What brought you to Adido?
I was born in Salisbury, just up the road from Bournemouth (a city not only with a lovely cathedral but also many, many little pubs too frequent) and started working at Adido in 2011. Being promised challenges that I knew would stretch me and an opportunity to lead creativity in a family of diverse passionate people I knew I had to join the Adido team!
What’s your favourite thing about Bournemouth?
The beach, my ultimate happy place. There rarely is a day that I don’t get down to the sea and take a deep breath and have a big fat smile about how lucky I am to live in Bournemouth!
Tell us something about you that your colleagues don’t know yet!
I interviewed for Mi5…top secret…can’t say any more than that, I may still be undercover.
What is your favourite tool to help with your job?
Andrew – he is a tool, but he is very useful to have in any creative session!
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A barmaid, I thought it would be fun to chat to people all day. I then progressed to wanting to be a spy purely based on the men in spooks!
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Mini eggs, from post-Christmas until Easter they are my staple diet, thank you Cadburys for limiting their production else I would have a serious diet problem!
If you could change one thing about yourself, what change would you make?
I would like to be more organised. My fear of admin means most of life is in a state of disarray.
What is your favourite website?
Google, I refer to it for all of my debates/arguments! (Sadly quite often it proves I am not always right!)
What are you afraid of?
Spiders – any size spider! Actually even fake spiders as my delightful colleagues discovered when leaving a little plastic spider on my desk making me shriek (NOT cool)
How many e-mails are sitting in your inbox?
17,010 (and counting… damn that admin fear!)
What is your favourite film?
The Goonies – every time I watch it it reminds me of my friends I grew up with and I wish we could have had that adventure!
