What is your role at Adido?
What does a typical day involve?
I am an experienced PHP Developer but relatively new to MODX, so my days are spent learning how to utilise the power of the tool to build back-end components that ensure our front-end developers can deliver content to meet our clients brief.
Where were you born? What brought you to Adido?
I was born and raised on the mean streets of Manchester and have worked across the UK in various roles before deciding to specialise in Web Development. My previous company brought me to Bournemouth and I loved it so much I decided to stay.
What’s your favourite thing about Bournemouth?
I love living by the sea, its a wonderful feeling to be able to wander down to the beach whenever the mood takes me, when it comes to the sea though, I am purely an observer, although I may risk the occasional paddle.
Tell us something about you that your colleagues don’t know yet!
I am not saying I have a terrible singing voice, but the only two times I have done Karaoke, I have left the room to a sitting ovation of stunned faces.
What’s the first thing you do when you get into the office?
I have a much needed cup of tea, then, and only then am I ready to interact with the world.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
An astronaut, or a bin man, both seemed like the portal to fascinating worlds when I was seven.
Where in the world would you most like to visit and why?
I would love to visit Jamaica, to see if it is anything like the way it is described in the books I have read, of course if it is, then there is a strong possibility I would never leave.
What is your #1 most played song on Spotify/iTunes?
Anything by the Stone Roses, my absolutely all-time favourite band.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I have been a worshiper of curry, in all its many shapes and forms since the age of 17 when I first discovered it’s true potential.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to be able to play the guitar, I have always been in awe of people who can listen to a tune and play it back.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
Jimi Hendrix, my all-time guitar hero, a true individual and a really nice guy from what I have read.
