What you can expect as part of our GA4 service
We need to understand your current usage and objectives, and gain access to your GA4 and GTM accounts. Once you’ve filled in a contact form we will send you some questions, and request access to your accounts.
We will assess your GA4 setup to ensure that it meets your data needs and provides you with relevant insights. Our evaluation will cover your configuration, dashboards and events, then verify that they are accurate and easy to analyse.
Just adding the analytics code to your website isn't setting up GA4. Sadly, there is so much more to configure. Settings, tags, events and conversions all need proper consideration and adjustment.
We will also make sure any PII is redacted, plus configure Google Consent Mode so that you can take advantage of GA4's behavioural modelling and AI capabilities as well as being fully GDPR compliant.
We’ll perform a review of your tracking plan (if you have one! Or create one if you don’t), analysing your current conversions and checking for weaknesses. This will be an ongoing process as your GA4 account evolves.
Involvement from your web developers may be required and use of Google Tag Manager is advised.
GA4 report building
With many events collected automatically, it’s important to launch the tracking tag before fully building out the reports.
Unfortunately, very few reports in GA4 come ‘out of the box.’ At this moment in time GA4 does not offer the same reporting view filters, and its standard reports are fairly limited, so we would build some additional reports for you within the user interface.
As the GA4 interface isn't the most user friendly, and behaves differently to its predecessor, you may prefer to visualise your data in tools like Google Looker (Data Studio). Templates within this platform can bring insights to life or make it easier for you to access the same information time and again. We'd help you ascertain whether these are needed and can set them up for you.
