We are looking for an SEO Executive to help with the ongoing optimisation of client websites. You will be working within a dedicated SEO team so have the opportunity to learn from and work with a wider team where you can really hone and develop your SEO skills and progress your SEO and content writing career.

No prior experience of SEO is needed for this entry level position, but you must demonstrate good communication skills, like written tasks (there's lots of copywriting!), can juggle multiple projects at once, and are motivated to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong copywriting skills, and be a fast and keen learner.

Key responsibilities

  • To quickly develop an understanding of content and SEO and how it impacts the wider digital marketing landscape
  • To keep up to date with industry trends regarding organic search marketing and be willing to experiment and test new concepts, techniques and tactics.
  • Keyword research with an understanding of search intent and how each keyword meets the client's objectives
  • Optimisation of existing pages with the end goal of better rankings and performance to build commercial success for our clients
  • SEO copywriting of blogs & commercially focussed landing pages for various clients in a wide variety of industries
  • To push for best practice at all times, to ensure highest levels of content are introduced, met and maintained
  • To work closely with other members of the SEO team as well as wider teams (PPC, UX, designers & developers) to ensure we are all working towards the same goal

Essential skills and experience:

  • Excellent and adaptable copywriting and proofreading skills
  • Ability to analyse and understand data (in this case data will be keyword stats, traffic, conversions, but other data analysis experience with transferable skills will be considered) in order to make informed decisions
  • Strong communication skills to communicate and present ideas and information both online and in person
  • Confident with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as MS Teams - knowledge of Google's Suite of document types is also useful
  • To carefully plan your own workload and client schedules with an ability to see tasks through to the end and be persistent to ensure positive results
  • To be able to work remotely and show high levels of communication at all times

  • Keyword research and optimisation
  • Technical SEO
  • How to manage multiple client campaigns and communicate with clients
  • How to use tools such as Google Analytics, Semrush, Majestic SEO, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console
