Adido has an immediate requirement for an entry level paid media team member to join the digital marketing team. This team is responsible for delivering effective ROI through a variety of paid search and social ad campaigns for our mix of regional, national and international clients.

No prior experience of PPC is needed for this entry level position, but you must demonstrate good communication skills, like number-based tasks (there's lots of data!), can juggle multiple projects at once, and are motivated to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. In this position you will get the chance to learn how Google Ads works, how social media campaigns are promoted to a wider audience and how performance is measured and evaluated. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in digital marketing, and especially within the field of pay-per-click (PPC).

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out tasks focused on PPC implementation and analysis:
    • Search query reports - discovering what people really type into Google
    • Keyword research - exploring what search terms are important for a client's business, and how popular and expensive they are
    • Ad text writing - crafting an attention grabbing ad so that people click on it in the search results
    • Bid changes - reviewing and editing max CPC bids to ensure the client is paying the optimum price for their visibility
    • Budget checks - ensuring campaigns are running to budget and not over-spending or under-delivering
    • Performance analysis - reviewing how well campaigns are performing against target and expectations
    • Audience creation and targeting - determining who should see ads and building the right audience groups for targeting
    • Asset creation – images, videos, carousels, banners - letting your creativity shine in visual, display formats
  • Contribute to PPC reports for weekly, monthly, quarterly periods (as required)
  • Participate in weekly paid media team meetings to share results and actions
  • Use of tools like Google Analytics, Supermetrics, ad platforms and alternative tracking platforms (like Hubspot) to measure performance

You’ll be highly personable and have a can-do, problem-solving attitude.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Be interested, enthusiastic and curious – the best way to learn is to ask lots of questions!
  • Improve your knowledge of PPC regularly by reading and potentially attending online or offline conferences / webinars / workshops
  • Take directions and briefings of tasks from PPC Managers or Senior PPC Managers and be able to execute within the assigned timeframe, or flag in advance should there be any concerns over delivery expectations
  • Be organised – being able to manage and keep your tasks up to date is essential
  • Have at least a basic knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (or Google equivalents) - you'll be using these quite a lot!

We have an office in Southbourne, Bournemouth, which our Paid Media team visits at least once a week. To give you the best training and support as you learn the art and science of PPC marketing, we’re ideally looking for local applicants. However, with many of our wider team working remotely we will also consider remote worker applications, with the provison that you are willing to travel to Bournemouth as required to collaborate in person with the PPC team and wider agency where necessary. You may also be required to attend agency events in person throughout the year which can be in the local area or in London.
