What does a typical day involve?
A story by T.Stradling.
Once upon a time a handsome front-end developer came into work.
He had to take designs from the lovely princess Laura and craft them into HTML & CSS with a sprinkling of Javascript to make things happen. He also had to prepare the website before it went to the evil back-end wizard/troll Mark who would do things like server side performance and database admin.
The End.
Where were you born? What brought you to Adido?
Born in Preston, I was originally nagged into joining Adido by my BFF Jamie. It was a big move down south but the best decision I made.
What’s the first thing you do when you get into the office?
Coffee (I believe this is the default/compulsory answer for web developers).
Where in the world would you most like to visit and why?
Russia. I just find the female, Russian accent very sexy. There I said it. Judge me.
What do you remember about your first day at Adido?
I can't remember that much, it was a long time ago! Although I did find out later Ross thought I was from Eastern Europe. I guess the northern accent is similar!
What is your #1 most played song on Spotify/iTunes?
Iron Maiden - Sign of the Cross.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Eccles Cakes – Possibly this is a hangover from when I lived in Preston but I do still love a proper Eccles cake.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
Wolverine-esque regeneration because then you're essentially immortal. Hurrah!
If you could change one thing about yourself, what change would you make?
You wouldn’t want to change the Mona Lisa would you?
What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Starting Muay Thai. It helped me refocus my training around a specific goal, plus training with others encourages you to push yourself harder.
What is something you learned in the last week?
I learned my limit for a KFC bucket is about 9 pieces.
What song do you love to dance to?
KC & the Sunshine Band – Give It Up. I mean come on it’s impossible not to dance to this.
What are you afraid of?
Balloons. I don’t know whether I had a bad experience as a child but I still really don’t like balloons.
What’s your party trick?
Disappearing without a trace. If I need to be up in the morning to train or if I’m too tired to party. Or if I’m simply starting to loathe the people around me. One moment I’ll be there, the next not so much.
