What does a typical day involve?
Most days involve working on small parts of whatever big project we’re working on. As a junior dev, I’m here to learn, so every new challenge is a good opportunity to expand my knowledge.
What do you enjoy most about working at Adido?
Everyone’s so friendly, the office has a really nice atmosphere.
Where were you born? What brought you to Adido?
I was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I moved to Bournemouth a few years ago for uni and fell in love with the place. I joined Adido because it seemed like a great place to work and somewhere I could learn a lot straight out of uni.
What’s your favourite thing about Bournemouth?
Definitely the beach.
Tell us something about you that your colleagues don’t know yet!
I play chaser/seeker for Bournemouth’s real life quidditch team, the Bournemouth Banshees.
What is your favourite tool to help with your job?
PhpStorm. It’s just a code editor but it has so many handy little features that it makes work so much easier.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I was obsessed with animals so I pretty much wanted any possible job to do with that.

I’ve got into the habit of cracking all of my joints, so apologies to anyone who has to sit near me

It’s currently Sober by Strong Asian Mothers
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza. Not only is it the best food on the planet, it’s also so versatile that I’m never going to get bored of it
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I’d love to be able to do accents really well
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
Shapeshifting would be pretty cool, but it’s for kind of a weird reason: I’ve always wanted to be really small and take a nap on something really big.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
“you can repeat the year, but you can’t repeat the craic” – basically, don’t get too stressed about work, sometimes you have to just enjoy yourself while you can

What song do you sing in the shower?
I love some showtunes in the shower, anything that I can do a really dramatic performance of is perfect. Defying gravity is a personal favourite (but probably not for my neighbours)
