What is your role at Adido?
My role as Account Manager is to be the voice of the client within the office. I’m here to push for perfection in the day-to-day management of our client’s online marketing activities. Part of this is achieved through thoroughly getting to know the business we work with, as a well as ensuring smooth and effective communication between the client and the team members.
What do you enjoy most about working at Adido?
It’s got to be the rest of the team! I have only know them for a short while, but so far, so good!
Where were you born? What brought you to Adido?
I was born in South Africa, but my family moved here to the UK when I was aged 10. My mother found Bournemouth to be “the closest place to Cape Town”! I’ve settled slightly north of the town, in Verwood. My passion for excellence in the delivery of online marketing has brought me to Adido. The organisations reputation within the South West meant when the opportunity came up, I was there.
Tell us something about you that your colleagues don’t know yet!
Having joined just a few short weeks ago – there are still a few things the team don’t know about me... for now! But there is always a place to start.. I have sailed across the Atlantic Ocean in a 42ft yacht.
Where in the world would you most like to visit and why?
Just far too many to go into. But high up the bucket list is an Estancia in Argentina that I follow on Facebook (a friend went). They offer “working” holidays, rounding up the cattle from the hills on horseback, playing polo, and drinking lots of red wine. This would be an ideal holiday for me.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sorry, going for three! Hummus, oatcakes and grapes.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I really want to learn Spanish. If I say it enough I might do it; so, realmente quiero aprender español (told you I liked Google).
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
Captain James Cook.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
Learn to control the controllable and manage as best you can the uncontrollable.
What song do you sing in the shower?
Yes, by Butler and Mcalmont.
At the weekend I love…
To take a long dog walk/run ending up at a decent pub.
