Yesterday was full of drama and excitement as a fire in the office next door to Adido caused a whole load of chaos!
If you tried to contact Adido via telephone yesterday afternoon, you may have had difficulty in getting through, all due to a power cut caused by a fire in the building next door. Adido, unaware of the commotion outside, carried on working whilst three fire engines turned up and teams of fire-fighters put the fire out. The road was completely closed off and members of staff out for lunch weren’t even allowed to walk past so had to find a detour to get back in the office!

To find out exactly what was happening, Adido sent out their bravest explorers Nikki, Mischa and Katie to see if the power would return. After discussing the situation with the electricity board, there was just enough time to sneak in a photo with the firemen as well!

Dean Park Crescent was left in darkness and without any power when the electricity board turned off the electricity as a safety precaution. The cause of the fire was an electrical fault and unfortunately, it meant the power cut was due to last the duration of the day.
This also meant the entire Adido team had to up sticks and work from home for the afternoon – that was if they could get their cars out of the underground parking which has a power assisted door!
Luckily, no one was hurt in the fire and the power in our building has now been fully restored so we are now back to our normal working environment.
