Once described as 'one of the jewels in the crown' by Michael Grade, Friends Reunited was today put up for sale by its owners ITV, four years after it acquired it for £120m. Once the talk of the media in the early 2000's, Friends Reunited has lost its users to other social networks such as MySpace, Facebook and Bebo.
As an expert of online marketing, Andy Headington of Adido was invited to comment on the story for the Sky News website. The feature covers the reasons why Friends Reunited fell so far behind its rivals and what is in store for the website in the coming years.
