Community
At Adido, we know how important it is to be in touch with things that are happening in the local community. Because we all live, go out and work in the local community, we feel we should do our best to make it better wherever possible by taking part in initiatives to help local businesses, inspiring the next generation and raising crucial funds for local charities.
Here’s a quick snapshot of how we’ve helped to make our community better:
Charity work...
We regularly take part in events to raise money for charity. Recently we have taken part in sporting activities to raise money for The Rainbow Centre in Hampshire and The Youth Cancer Trust in Dorset. We’ve helped raise money for charity work by taking part in sponsored five-a-side football tournaments, organising and completing bike rides and jumping out of planes! We have lots more exciting charity work coming up and are always coming up with new and innovative ideas to give to those that need it the most!
Helping the next generation...
Another thing that’s really close to our heart is the idea that we can give something back. After all, eight years ago, before we started winning big clients and prestigious awards, we were at university, dreaming of the future and what could be.
We want the next generation to do things better and benefit from our experience to those looking to further themselves during and after University.
We regularly give talks on:
-
How to get into university
-
How to get into digital marketing
-
The basics of online marketing
-
Creating great CVs
-
How to ace interviews
We have given talks to higher and further education institutions like Bournemouth University, Bournemouth and Poole College, Southampton University and Southampton Solent University.
Our work with local businesses
At Adido, we do a lot of work with local businesses. Our directors are on the board of many important organisations that help local businesses including the IoD (the institute of Directors), BCTC (Bournemouth Chamber of Tourism and Commerce) and the DJC (Dorset Junior Chamber). We have been involved with DJC for five years, helping young professionals in Dorset to improve their skills and confidence.
We’re always looking for ideas on other ways to give back to the community so if you’d like us to help, just get in touch
